Irish ICT and managed services provider, PFH Technology Group, has acquired Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting partner, TerraAlto.
The purchase of the Dublin-based cloud consultants will create a hundred new jobs across Dublin, Cork and Galway.
As an AWS partner in advanced consulting and managed services, TerraAlto helps clients through their digital transformation journeys by providing AWS services to bring their IT platform and applications to the cloud.
PFH, based out its headquarters in Cork, currently has 700 employees working in technical positions across managed and consulting services. The new jobs created by the TerraAlto merger will help PFH meet the rising demand for managed cloud services.
Paul Hourican, chair of PFH, said: “This acquisition by PFH further strengthens our service propositions across the ICT spectrum as digital transformation accelerates.
“We are building on our existing cloud capabilities to offer a more comprehensive public and multi-cloud strategy to our clients.”
PFH saw a 41 percent increase in its revenue for 2021 over the previous year, largely in part to Covid-19 ushering in the dominance of off-premises cloud infrastructure.
Partnered with leading tech companies in Ireland such as Dell, HP, and even Microsoft, PFH has clients ranging from government institutions to pharmaceutical firms and multinational finance organisations.

The acquisition and new jobs are part of a three year plan by PFH to expand its offerings with a focus on increasing revenue share per customer, with more targeted acquisitions in Ireland and the UK in the pipeline.
